Air charter can require a completely different mindset when putting together an itinerary. Unlike scheduled airlines, charter flights can be set at times which suit the client. Busy airports can be avoided and lesser known airports which are more en route can be used.

The Botswana operation transports guests, staff and freight to safari camps in the Okavango, Linyanti, Chobe and surrounding areas. 90% of our Botswana operations are conducted within the triangle described by Maun, Shakawe and Kasane. Our base is in the Wilderness Air hangar at Maun Airport, adjacent to the terminal building.

The main destinations that Wilderness Air services in Namibia are: Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Damaraland, the Skeleton Coast, Etosha and the Kunene River. Some of these destinations represent the finest wilderness areas Namibia has to offer. The base for operations is in Windhoek. From here all reservations are captured and aircraft scheduled.

Wilderness Air South Africa is based at Lanseria International Airport, one of South Africa’s biggest and most active airports. The same standard computer systems have been deployed and the same successful business model has been employed throughout the regions.

Landlocked in South-Central Africa, Zambia is prime walking country, offering impressive diversity as well as large concentrations and numbers of animals throughout its 19 national parks. Bird life is particularly prolific and 'specials' draw birders from all over the world.

The base of operation is in Victoria Falls. Most of the operations take place in the area bounded by Harare, Ruckomechi in the lower Zambezi, Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park.
