I was born in Windhoek, lived my toddler years in Botswana and completed school at Grootfontein Secondary school. I began flying in Port Alfred at 43 Air School, where I completed my training. I am passionate about travelling and exploring different cultures. This job enables me to explore Namibia and appreciate what my country has to offer. The best part of my job is, well, just about everything!
As with all pilots, flying is a passion. I enjoy doing what we do. Meeting new people is also a great side to this. Beats a boring office job any day. Each day is different with its own set of challenges. Been involved in aviation for 10 years now with a background in various fields of aviation.
From Cape Town, South Africa and trained at 43 Air School in Port Alfred, I now call the spectacular country of Namibia my home. Not only has flying always been a dream of mine, but the special career of a bush-pilot has been something that I have wanted ever since the flying bug bit me. It seemed only natural to pursue a bush-flying career since two of my greatest passions are those of aviation and wildlife. Wilderness Air has always been the number one company that I have wanted to work for and I was very privileged to be welcomed into the Wilderness Air Namibia team.
I was born and raised in Namibia. Flying was always part of the family as great grandfather and grandfather flew their privately owned piper cruiser all over Namibia from 1950. Flying always fascinated me and my flying career as commercial pilot started 2012, in Namibia. A passion for aviation and nature was always part of me and to be able to fly in the beautiful Namibia where my history started is quite a privilege and daily adventure.
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and raised on a farm in a small town Tulbagh. My passion for flying started when I was 9 years old watching the crop sprayers, spraying fields and I immediately knew what I wanted to do when I grow up. I consider myself very lucky for getting a job at Wilderness Air and I’m excited for what my future holds in with the company.
Aviation and outdoor enthusiast. Youngest pilot in the Wilderness Air fleet. Enjoy meeting new people and working in an ever changing environment.
I was born and raised in South Africa. Obtained my Aircraft Engineers Diploma in June 1996. Worked for the South African Airforce, South African Airways and Aviation Centre Windhoek. Wilderness Air Namibia is all one can ask for, getting In touch with nature and meeting different cultures. I would one day also like to fly, which has always been a big dream of mine to combine the Engineering and flying.
I was born and raised in South Africa. I moved to Namibia in 2016 and began my career at Wilderness Air and it has been an adventure every day, meeting new people seeing new places in the wilderness of Namibia.
My passion for aviation began in 2006 after having completed 2 years as a guide in the Kruger National Park.
As a guide in East Arica I had the fortunate privilege of regularly travelling throughout the region in privately chartered aircraft.
My dual passions for the pristine eco-systems of Africa and aviation is totally satisfied at Wilderness Air Nam, and this filters through to the clients that I fly on a daily basis. Namibia is truly a stunning and untouched landscape when viewed from the air.
I was born in South Africa and have been in and around aviation my whole life. I started with Wilderness Air Namibia end of 2013 and haven't looked back. The flying is amazing and the Namibian sky is vast.
I was born and raised in South Africa. I began flying in Namibia in 2012. I am passionate about flying and sharing my passion with people. I do not consider flying as a job but more as a paying hobby. Hope to share flight and Namibia's endless horizons with you soon.
Born in Pretoria (South-Africa) 1988. Grew up in the northern part of South-Africa until the age of 18 years old, when I then moved to Cape Town after I matriculated in 2006. I obtained my commercial pilot license in Cape Town at HELI flight training. I moved to Namibia in 2011 when I started flying here as a commercial pilot. I have chosen to fly in Namibia because of the fact that when I was doing flight training, everyone spoke about the pilot life and experience you gain from flying there. I have had the chance so far to fly the Cessna 210 around the country for a few years and also now the Cessna 208 Caravan for the last year and a half.
I grew up in a village up in the mountains in the beautiful Lowveld area of South Africa. I had a fairly adventurous childhood, from riding enduro and motocross to I working at a horse trails and taking tourists on horseback rides through the forests and mountains amongst the wild horses. The "aviation bug" bit on a helicopter ferry trip through Mozambique from Nelspruit to Dar Es Salaam, when my family decided to move to Tanzania and start a helicopter charter company. That was 6 years ago and now I cannot imagine my life without the thrill of flying!
I was born and raised in Namibia. I have been working for Wilderness Air Namibia since 2013.The passion for flying was put as a gift into my cradle and I am really grateful to be working for Wilderness Air Namibia as I am able to do the thing I love in and overhead the country I love.
Before joining Wilderness Air, I worked as a construction worker, a bank clerk, an Operations Manager for a flight school. I then joined the Namibian Airforce where I was sent to China for further flight training. Back home and still in the Air Force, I completed my civilian flight instructors rating and gave ground and flight training to government sponsored students on an ad hoc basis. I joined Wilderness Air initially to boost my flight hours, but after a few months was employed as the in-house instructor, then as the PRT and was the Chief Pilot for a time as well. During the time I worked as a bank clerk, my grandfather died and I decided to buy all of his farming interests. Since then, I’ve been farming with cattle and sheep and the farm in the Kalahari has been my weekend getaway (and probably the reason I’ve lost all my hair).
I’m from a small town called Oyster Bay. As part of the Training team, I have the privilege to pass along my knowledge and experience to the new recruits.
Born in the Northern Cape’s town of Kuruman and raised in Midrand, Gauteng. I am passionate about imparting knowledge on flying and the bush environment makes it all the more exciting with more considerations than a normal flying environment."
The fascination of flying has been in my life for a long time. At 15 years of age I started my private pilots training in Kiel, Germany and continued with the commercial training in Berlin 2014. I am really glad to be able to start off my career with Wilderness Air Namibia. Flying in this country is challenging, interesting and enjoyable. I am looking forward to gain lots of unforgettable experiences here.
